The invention relates to a rapid reactive compensation method for a low-voltage distribution system. The rapid reactive compensation method for the low-voltage distribution system is applicable to reactive compensation for a low-voltage alternate current (AC) network and comprises that first, a current acquisition module acquires voltage and current signals in the electric network and a reactive compensation current output to the electric network by an inverter module and the voltage and current signals and the reactive compensation current are transmitted into a control module, second, the control module executes calculation with a real domain digital phase shifting method and extracts a reactive power part of the voltage and current and signals and the reactive compensation current, third, comparison between the extracted reactive power part and a reactive compensation signal output to the electric network is carried out to obtain the difference, and fourth, the control module works according to the difference, the difference is transmitted to the inverter module after processed by a hysteresis comparator, and the reactive compensation for the network is achieved through a hysteresis tracking compensation var generator.
