Benefits of technology

The technical effect of this patented technology allows devices that are sensitive enough but cannot be too hot or have issues with receiving signals from other electronic components due to their own frequencies. This improves its performance without requiring excessive power consumption.

Problems solved by technology

This patented technical solution describes a system called Ground Wave Digital Receiver® which uses multiple tuners and filters to enhance reception quality without requiring much more energy than necessary or generating unwanted noise levels. Additionally, the current methods involve cooling down parts at specific locations near the radios themselves, leading to increased temperatures during operation. To address these issues, some systems include thermoacoustic converters placed close enough proximities to each other to reduce thermal effects while still providing reliable reception capabilities.

Embodiment Construction

[0020] Hereinafter, embodiments of the present invention will be described in detail with reference to the drawings.

[0021] FIG. 1 is a configuration diagram of a ground wave digital receiver for vehicles using a diversity device for receiving digital television broadcasting according to an embodiment of the present invention. In addition, the same code|symbol is attached|subjected to the same part as the ground wave digital receiver for vehicles shown in FIG. 4.

[0022] In this embodiment, the tuners for ground wave reception (hereinafter simply referred to as "tuners") 11a to 11d are connected from a housing (hereinafter referred to as "tuner") in which OFDM demodulators 5a to 5d, synthesizers 6a to 6d, and MPEG decoder 7 are housed. In order to distinguish it from the case housing the tuner, it is referred to as a "demodulation system side case") 10 is taken out of the case and placed next to the respective antenna devices 1a to 1d.

Abstract

The object of the present invention is to realize minaturization and low cost of a diversity device for receiving digital television broadcast. In a vehicle-mounted terrestrial digital receiver, each tuner (2a to 2d) is located in a tuner-side casing (26) of a connector circuit section (25) provided at a power feeding point of a corresponding one of a plurality of digital-television-broadcast-receiving antenna devices (1a to 1d). Output terminals of the tuners (2a to 2d) are connected to a demodulation-system-side casing (10) using balanced signal cables (12a to 12d). The demodulation-system-side casing (10) contains OFDM demodulators (5a to 5d) that decode IF signals output from the corresponding tuners (2a to 2d), combining units (6a to 6c) that combine demodulated signals to generate a combined signal, and an MPEG decoder (7) that decodes the combined signal.
