Abstract

The invention discloses an electric water heater which comprises a water storage unit and a heating unit separated from the water storage unit, wherein the water storage unit comprises a first inner container; a water storage chamber is formed in the first inner container; the heating unit comprises a second inner container, a heating element and a power supply device; a heating chamber is formed in the second inner container; the power supply device is used for supplying power to the heating element; the heating element is used for heating water in the heating chamber; and the heating chamber communicates with the water storage chamber. In the electric water heater adopting an implementation manner disclosed by the invention, the water storage unit is separated from the heating unit, so that the electric water heater and the heating unit can be arranged outside a bathroom, the heating unit can be prevented from being contacted with water or water vapor in the bathroom, and the water or the water vapor in the bathroom can be prevented from corroding the power supply device and the heating element of the heating unit, and therefore, the service lives of the power supply device and the heating element are prolonged.
