Abstract

The invention provides a screen unlocking method and a mobile terminal, relates to the technical field of electronics, and solves the problems of single application icon, fixed screen unlocking direction and lack of interactive interestingness in the prior art. The method comprises the steps of displaying M1 input boxes on an input interface used for screen unlocking; and when application icons displayed in the input boxes are all the same as pre-stored unlocking icons corresponding to the input boxes, controlling a screen of the mobile terminal to be unlocked, wherein M1 is an integer greaterthan or equal to 1. According to the scheme, the application icons are used as unlocking passwords, so that a certain security is achieved and the interactive interestingness is improved; and the application icons are subjected to function expansion, and the application icons serve as desktop unlocking elements, so that the purposes of reusing the application icons and expanding the usage scenesof the application icons are achieved.
