Abstract

The invention discloses a control method applied to a setting function of terminal equipment and the terminal equipment. The method is used for solving the problem of high operation complexity of setting items. In the embodiment of the invention, in response to a first user operation on a setting item in a setting function interface, a first display layout of the setting item in the setting function interface is determined; and an original second display layout of the setting item in the setting function interface is updated based on the first display layout. Namely, according to the operation habit of the user, the common setting items of the user are mined, and then the display mode of the common setting items is optimized. Therefore, after the user enters the setting, the user can conveniently find the interested setting items, the user operation can be simplified, and resources consumed in the processing process of the terminal equipment are saved.
