internal combustion engine which comprises an actuation device (50) for matching its operating behaviour to the operating behaviour of the
internal combustion engine, an
actuator (60), and a transmission element (70), which is coupled to the
actuator (60) on the one hand and to the actuation device (50) on the other hand. The transmission element (70) comprises a one-part component body (73), which extends from a first
coupling point (62) to a second
coupling point (52) along a longitudinal axis (75) and has a
coupling element (71, 72) in each of its end regions for coupling to the
actuator (60) and to the actuation device (50), the coupling elements (71, 72) each being formed as an integral part of the component body (73) in the form of a ball receptacle (82) of a
ball joint connection (80) in the component body (73).
