The invention relates to an oxidative degradation method for cyanide in cyaniding tailings. The oxidative degradation method comprises the steps that the mass percentage of the water content of the cyaniding tailings obtained after filter pressing is controlled to be 20-30%, stirring is conducted, and three or more of cement, aluminum powder, sulphur powder, sodium perborate and sodium chloride are added, wherein the amount of added chemicals accounts for 2.2-7.7% of the dry weight mass percent of the cyaniding tailings; a trolley is loaded with the materials and then put into a high-pressurereaction still, and after vacuum extraction is conducted on the materials in the high-pressure reaction still, steam is introduced; and after the temperature is raised to 180-200 DEG C, the pressure is maintained for 4.5-10 hours, depressurization is conducted so that the ammonia-containing steam is exhausted, and the residual cyaniding tailings in the high-pressure reaction still can be convertedinto another type of ordinary solid waste through hazardous waste toxicity identification. The degradation method is good in cyanogen removal effect; cyanogen removal is irrelevant with the initial concentration of cyanogen and is relevant with the time and temperature; the cyaniding tailings obtained after treatment can meet the environment protection requirement and be directly reused as a secondary resource; and by means of hazardous waste toxicity leaching identification, the PH value is 7-9, and the density of the total cyanide is 2 mg/L.
