The invention relates to a hydroelectric generation device, in particular to a shipborne type hydroelectric generation device which is capable of generating electricity by using current kinetic energy. The shipborne type hydroelectric generation device is composed of a main load bearing ship, auxiliary load bearing ships, water wheels, a support, a water wheel lifting mechanism, a power transmission mechanism and an electric generator. According to the support, the main load bearing ship and the auxiliary load bearing ships are fixed on a middle section and the two sides under the support by a support platform and support vertical rods. The electric generator is installed on the main load bearing ship. Two water wheels are respectively installed on the two sides of the main load bearing ship. The auxiliary load bearing ships are arranged at the outer sides of the water wheels. An anchor pile, a mooring rope and a plurality of shipborne type hydroelectric generation devices are combined into a hydroelectric generation station. Compared with the prior art, the shipborne type hydroelectric generation device is free from the need of building a dam, small in occupation of land, short in time of construction, small in investment, large in single-machine power, reliable in working performance, good in stability, wide in application range and good in development and utilization of water power resources.
