Abstract

The invention belongs to the information management technical field, in particular relates to a method which uses the tree structure directory to manage the placename information. the method includes the steps: 1) a placename structure tree is created; the placename structure tree has only a root; 2) the required placename information set is obtained from the placename structure tree and stored in the server as a file; 3) the computer read program reads the placename information contained in the placename information set from the file stored in the hard disc and generates the tree structure placename directory according to the tree node code attribute. The method can be used to simply and conveniently generate the tree structure placename information directory which has abundant structure, complicated meanings, random layering and strong extensibility; meanwhile, the management function of the directory towards the file is used for storing the placename attribute information in the corresponding placename information directory in file form, so as to improve the processing speed and increase the information capacity.
