Abstract

The embodiment of the invention discloses a device for carrying cassettes, which is used for carrying the cassettes among a crane of a storage cabinet, load ports and unload ports. According to the invention, a carrying port area is arranged at the front sections of the load ports and the unload ports, a horizontal carrying mechanism and a vertical carrying mechanism are arranged at the carrying port area, and empty cassettes at the load ports are carried to the predetermined unload ports. The invention also provides a method for carrying the cassettes. According to the embodiment of the invention, the carrying amount of the crane in the storage cabinet can be reduced, so that the bottle neck that the carrying amount of the crane in the existing storage cabinet is too large can be effectively solved, and further, the productivity can be improved.
