Abstract

The invention discloses a method for planting tomatoes in a matrix. The method includes the steps of preparation of tomato seeds, hot water treatment of the tomato seeds, insecticide treatment of the tomato seeds, pregermination of the tomato seeds, disinfection of the tomato seeds and sowing of the tomato seeds. Compared with the existing tomato planting technology, the method has the extremely remarkable advantages that by the adoption of the technical scheme, the seed germination rate is more than 90%, and pine sawdust and cotton seed shells serve as main raw materials of the matrix for tomato seedling culture; on one hand, the raw materials are wide in source and low in cost, and on the other hand, pollution of a matrix with cow dung and chicken manure as raw materials to the environment is reduced. The two raw materials subjected to mixed fermentation are rich in nutrition for tomato seedlings, the emergence rate ranges from 80% to 85%, the seedlings are healthy and strong, growth of the seedlings is promoted, and the survival rate of the cultured tomato seedlings reaches up to 95% or above.
