Abstract

The invention discloses a manufacturing device of a polarization maintaining optical fiber combiner. The manufacturing device comprises a holding device, an observation device and a measurement device, wherein the holding device comprises a plurality of rotatable accommodating holes, each accommodating hole is used for holding a polarization maintaining optical fiber, the observation device is used for observing an end face of the polarization maintaining optical fiber to allow a user to judge how to rotate the accommodating hole to change the polarization direction of the polarization maintaining optical fiber, and the measurement device is used for measuring the extinction ratio of polarized light outputted by the polarization maintaining optical fiber. The invention further provides a manufacturing method of the polarization maintaining optical fiber combiner. According to the manufacturing device and the manufacturing method of the polarization maintaining optical fiber combiner, multiple linear polarization beams still maintain a high extinction ratio after being combined by the combiner. The manufacturing device and the manufacturing method of the polarization maintaining optical fiber combiner can be used for incoherent and coherent beam combination of a plurality of high-power narrow-linewidth linear polarization output mono-mode fiber lasers.
