Benefits of technology

This new technology helps prevent interference between different devices connected through an electrical signal line without causing any issues like losing packets or sending incorrect messages on certain lines. It also improves efficiency when transmitting signals over long distances due to its double-loop design that eliminates redundant data from being sent multiple times instead of one single bit at once. Additionally it optimizes the useable range within the protected area while reducing power usage compared to traditional methods. Overall this innovation enhances efficient operation and saves battery life during longer periods of nonuse.

Problems solved by technology

This patented technical problem addressed by this patents relates to improving the operation reliance of an Optically Fiber Serial Bus (OFC) that uses its own unique feature called Self- Adapted Dual Ring Networks (SDR). These networks have two rings with different types of fibers - one for transmitting signals over longer distances while another for receiving more signal strength from shorter ones. When multiple sites transmit identical data simultaneously, duplication can occur if any fault occurs along these lines causing interruptions. To prevent this type of error, redundant transmission paths between them were proposed but they resulted in increased overhead costs.

Abstract

The invention provides a protection method and device for a serial bus communication network, which can be applied to a master site in a serial bus communication network topology structure. The network topology structure comprises a master site and a plurality of slave sites, wherein the master site is connected to each slave site in series to form a loop structure; each slave site is in a working mode for reception and unvarnished transmission of data; the method comprises a step that the master site changes a data sending port to form a new work data loop with a device node which is affected by a fault when receiving a fault report about the fault of the loop structure. The invention also provides a protection device adopting the method. In comparison with the existing protection device, a large amount of invalid data and repeated data in the loop can be avoided, the data processing amount of each device in the loop structure is reduced, the protection effect is optimized and the overall power consumption of the loop is reduced.
