Embodiments of the invention provide a page tracking test method and apparatus. The method comprises the steps of generating a test page tracking request corresponding to a test page or a comparison page tracking request corresponding to a comparison page in response to a tracking operation performed for the test page or the comparison page at an embedded element; intercepting the test page tracking request or the comparison page tracking request; collecting and arranging tracking data in the test page tracking request and tracking data in the comparison page tracking request; and comparing differences of the tracking data from the test page and the tracking data from the comparison page to generate a page tracking test data report. According to the webpage test method and apparatus provided by the embodiments of the invention, the correctness of the tracking data is tested by performing the tracking operation on the test page and the comparison page, and the tracking data is automatically monitored and tested, so that the reliability of the tracking test data is effectively ensured.
