Abstract

The invention discloses a low-smoke flame-retardant HIPS (high-impact polystyrene) formula. The formula is characterized in that 15 parts of DBDPO, 4 parts of Sb2O3, 35 parts of magnesium hydrate, 18parts of zinc borate and 15 parts of an SBS toughening agent are added into every 100 parts of HIPS. For further improvement, 15 parts of DBDPO, 4 parts of Sb2O3, 35 parts of magnesium hydrate, 18 parts of zinc borate, 15 parts of the SBS toughening agent and 6 parts of CaCO3 are added into every 100 parts of HIPS. Great flame retardation and comprehensive performances and low manufacturing cost are realized.
