Benefits of technology

This patented technology allows researchers to easily isolate specific chemical compounds from different sources such as blood or cerebrospinal fluid without affecting their healthy cells by analyzing them with high sensitivity techniques like liquid chromato graphic analysis.

Problems solved by technology

This patented technical problem addressed in this patent relates to accurately measuring both choline esters (ChE), carboxylesters (CEL2), nitrosothiocyanine receptor-2(NTRR2), glucoside triene pathway (GTP)-binding protein family member 3a-5b). Current techniques have limitations due to lack sensitivity and accuracy issues associated with these molecules alone.

Abstract

The invention discloses a detecting method for cholesterol metabolites in brain tissue. The detecting method comprises the steps that firstly, a cryopreserved brain tissue sample is accurately weighed; then a first reagent is added to conduct first-time extraction, a first extracting solution is collected, then a second reagent is added to conduct second-time extraction, a second extracting solution is collected, and the two-time extracting solutions are combined; and finally, after concentrating and volatilizing drying, a third reagent is added to conduct redissolving, and the extracting result is detected through a liquid chromatograph-mass spectrometer.
