The invention provides a welding wire material for austenitic stainless steel. The welding wire material comprises the following chemical ingredients in percentage by weight: 0.011 to 0.078 percent of C, 0.15 to 0.32 percent of Si, 1.57 to 2.39 percent of Mn, less than or equal to 0.023 percent of P, less than or equal to 0.013 percent of S, 25.59 to 25.82 percent of Cr, 8.17 to 8.87 percent of Ni, less than or equal to 0.43 percent of Mo, less than or equal to 0.058 percent of N, 0.09 to 0.39 percent of Cu, 0.03 to 0.042 percent of rare-earth element Re and the balance of Fe and inevitable impurities. Aiming at the austenitic stainless steel containing the rare-earth element and the austenitic stainless steel and ordinary steel, the invention provides the welding wire material for the austenitic stainless steel, which is scientific in design, convenient to use and high in deposition rate, the sensitivity of metal cold cracks at weld joints after welding is low, and the performance of metal at the weld joints is close to that of base metal.
