The invention relates to an
infrared chalcogenide glass lens which comprises a glass substrate and a
surface film layer plated on the surface of the glass substrate. The
surface film layer comprises an MgO plating layer, a first Ge plating layer, a first ZnS plating layer, a second Ge plating layer, a second ZnS plating layer and a super-hard waterproof layer which are sequentially arranged from inside to outside. According to the
infrared chalcogenide glass lens and a preparation method thereof, the application of a super-hard waterproof
medicine to the
infrared chalcogenide glass lens is realized. Stains, oil
fouling and dust can be hardly adhered to the infrared
chalcogenide glass lens plated with the super-hard waterproof layer, and the infrared
chalcogenide glass lens is very easy toclean, so that the abrasion of the lens is reduced, the surface
hardness and the waterproof performance of the infrared
chalcogenide glass lens are improved, and the
transmittance of the infrared chalcogenide glass lens within the
infrared wavelength range of 8-12 microns is high.
