6 results about "Urinary system" patented technology

The urinary system, also known as the renal system or urinary tract, consists of the kidneys, ureters, bladder, and the urethra. The purpose of the urinary system is to eliminate waste from the body, regulate blood volume and blood pressure, control levels of electrolytes and metabolites, and regulate blood pH. The urinary tract is the body's drainage system for the eventual removal of urine. The kidneys have an extensive blood supply via the renal arteries which leave the kidneys via the renal vein. Each kidney consists of functional units called nephrons. Following filtration of blood and further processing, wastes (in the form of urine) exit the kidney via the ureters, tubes made of smooth muscle fibres that propel urine towards the urinary bladder, where it is stored and subsequently expelled from the body by urination (voiding). The female and male urinary system are very similar, differing only in the length of the urethra.

Bladder intermittent drainage system

The invention discloses a bladder intermittent drainage system which comprises a urine pipe, a controllable conducting switch, a drainage bag liquid inlet pipe and a drainage bag provided with a liquid discharging valve. The controllable conducting switch is arranged between the urine pipe and the drainage bag liquid inlet pipe and used for controlling communication and blocking of an inner cavity of the urine pipe and an inner cavity of the drainage bag liquid inlet pipe. The controllable conducting switch comprises a power supply, a controller, a coil, a conducting slide block and a magnetic piece. The controller controls a power-up state of the coil so as to enable magnetic force produced by the coil and magnetic force of the magnetic piece to interact, and therefore the conducting switch can be turned on or turned off. The bladder intermittent drainage system has the advantages that urine can be automatically drained in time, the phenomenon of infection of the urinary system caused by regurgitation of the urine when the urine is not drained in time is avoided, and workloads of nursing staff are relieved, operation is convenient to perform, and the structure is simple. In addition, the requirement for material performance and physical restorability of the urine pipe or the drainage bag liquid inlet pipe is lowered.
