Abstract

A safety airbag activation control system and method are applied to a vehicle. The vehicle includes a steering wheel, a storage device and an actuating unit. The steering wheel includes a depth camera, an electronic gyroscope and a safety airbag. The described airbag activation control system and method continuously captures the scene in front of the steering wheel with a depth camera to obtain a three-dimensional image of the scene, and uses the three-dimensional humanoid detection technology to detect whether a dangerous situation occurs during the driving of the vehicle.
