The invention provides an encryption method for an upgraded file and a detection method for the upgraded file. The encryption method for the upgraded file comprises the steps that a key field is obtained, and 7bit coding compression is conducted on a binary system of the key field so that a hexadecimal string of key_7bit can be obtained; the hexadecimal string of the key_7bit is converted into str_key_7bit; the str_key_7bit is written into a file 7bit.img, and therefore a corresponding file structure is generated. The detection method for the upgraded file comprises the steps that an img file for upgrading a server side is obtained, and the obtained file is stored into an internal memory; a cipher field str_7bit in the img file for upgrading is obtained; the cipher field str_7bit is decoded, and matching is conducted on decoded information str_key and preset information; if the decoded information str_key and preset information are successively matched, corresponding operation is executed; if matching between the decoded information str_key and preset information fails, alarming and restarting of a system are conducted. According to the technical scheme, verification is conducted through ciphers, and therefore the safety of the system is effectively improved.
