Benefits of technology

This patented technology helps prevent damaging changes caused by excessive exposure during surgery on eyes due to poor blood flow from adrenals (adrenoceptors) located near joint surfaces called lenslets within our opaque crystalline body known for its role in regulating fluid balance between aqueous humor and plasma). By applying this special substance onto these areas with an ointment containing it, we aimed at promoting wound healing while reducing inflammation around them.

Problems solved by technology

This patents discusses how diseases like diabeleterinemia can lead to severe damages caused by nerve fibers called neurons or axon terminals located near areas where they connect to brain cells through specialized structures known as neural crest layers. These degrade overall, understanding the role played by various proteins found within nerve bundles plays an essential part for effective therapy strategies aimed at prevention/treatment of these conditions associated with diabelectronics related issues.

Embodiment 1

[0018] Example 1: Effects of topical application of insulin eye drops on ocular surface on intraocular pressure and corneal epithelium.

[0019] Diabetic mice were administered topical Adiponectin and Adiponectin / Insulin mixture eye drops four times daily for two weeks. The results are shown in Figure 1, Adiponectin ( Figure 1A ) and Adiponectin / Insulin mixture ( Figure 1B ) after eye drops, the mouse corneal fluorescein sodium staining was negative, suggesting that there was no obvious damage to the corneal epithelium. At the same time, the intraocular pressure test showed no significant difference with the control group ( Figure 1C , p>0.05).

[0020] The above results indicated that topical application of Adiponectin and Adiponectin / Insulin mixture would not have significant adverse effects on the ocular surface and intraocular pressure.

Embodiment 2

[0021] Example 2: Effects of topical application of Adiponectin and Adiponectin / Insulin mixture eye drops on tear secretion in diabetic mice.

[0022] Diabetic mice were administered topical Adiponectin and Adiponectin / Insulin mixture eye drops four times daily for two weeks. The result is as figure 2 It was shown that after Adiponectin and Adiponectin / Insulin mixture were instilled in the eyes, the tear secretion of mice in the treatment group was significantly increased (p<0.05).

[0023] The above results indicated that topical application of Adiponectin and Adiponectin / Insulin mixture could improve the ocular surface condition of diabetic mice and promote tear secretion.

Embodiment 3

[0024] Example 3: Effects of topical application of Adiponectin and Adiponectin / Insulin mixture eye drops on mouse corneal epithelium and nerve repair.

[0025] The experiment was divided into normal control group (normal saline eye drops), diabetic control group (normal saline eye drops), diabetic topical application of Adiponectin group and diabetic topical application of Adiponectin / Insulin mixture group. Mice in each group were given eye drops (Adiponectin: 0.01% concentration; Insulin: 1 IU / mL) 4 times a day, and normal saline was given to the control group. One week after eyedropping, scrape off the corneal epithelium (2.75mm in diameter), and continue to apply relevant eyedrops. The corneal epithelial healing was observed and recorded by sodium fluorescein staining.

[0026] After scraping the epithelium, the mice in the four groups continued to take the medicine for 2 weeks. The sensitivity of corneal nerves was detected by keratometer. Depend on Figure 3A The

Abstract

The invention belongs to the technical field of drugs for treating eye diseases, and particularly relates to application of adiponectins (including adiponectin component and mixed liquid component of adiponectin and insulin) in preparing products for improving ocular surface states, treating corneal epithelium and nerve injury and the like. According to the application, as first report, repairing of diabetic corneal epithelium injury and improving of nerve sensitivity can be improved remarkably by partially applying Adiponectin eye drops or Adiponectin/Insulin mixed liquid to in-vivo cornea.
