The aluminum-silicon alloy refining agent is prepared from the following raw materials of, by mass, 8parts of KCl, 70 parts of NaCl, 31 parts of NaAlF6, 8 parts of MgCl2, 3 parts of graphite powder, 5 parts of carnallite, 11 parts of phosphorus pentachloride and 6 parts of titanium tetrachloride. The preparation method of the aluminum-silicon alloy refining agent comprises the following steps that (1) the NaCl is heated and dried, so that the water content of NaCl is reduced to 1%; (2) the raw materials of the KCl, the NaAlF6, the MgCl2, the phosphorus pentachloride and the titanium tetrachloride are weighed according to the mass fraction, mixed and stirred; (3) the graphite powder and the carnallite are crushed into powder, and then are added into the mixture obtained in the step (2); and (4), the mixture obtained in the step (3) is pressed into blocks, wherein the density of the blocksis 230 Kg/m<3>.
