Abstract

The invention provides a method, system and device for time synchronization of BMC (Baseboard Management Controller) and an operating system, and the method comprises the steps: obtaining video memory data issued by an operating system, and caching the video memory data through a VGA; and acquiring a data frame through the VGA cache, analyzing time information from the data frame based on a frame protocol of the data frame, and performing time synchronization of the BMC and an operating system. The BMC analyzes the video memory data issued by the operating system OS, obtains the time information and synchronizes the time of the BMC and the OS, time synchronization can be carried out as long as the OS has video memory issuing, the purpose of real-time synchronization is achieved, the whole process can be achieved by means of an existing link, additional hardware equipment or line connection is not needed, and hardware cost is not needed. And the realization is easy.
