1 results about "Carnot cycle" patented technology

The Carnot cycle is a theoretical ideal thermodynamic cycle proposed by French physicist Sadi Carnot in 1824 and expanded upon by others in the 1830s and 1840s. It provides an upper limit on the efficiency that any classical thermodynamic engine can achieve during the conversion of heat into work, or conversely, the efficiency of a refrigeration system in creating a temperature difference by the application of work to the system. It is not an actual thermodynamic cycle but is a theoretical construct.

The invention discloses a combined type internal combustion engine waste heat gradient utilization system. The combined type internal combustion engine waste heat gradient utilization system is characterized by comprising three stages of recovery cycles, namely a low-temperature cycle, a medium-temperature cycle and a high-temperature cycle, the high-temperature cycle is used for recovering EGR waste gas heat of an internal combustion engine, heating high-temperature working medium water into high-temperature steam and pushing a first expansion machine to work, and the high-temperature cycle comprises a heat regenerator; the medium-temperature cycle is used for recovering heat of exhaust gas of the internal combustion engine and pushing a second expansion machine to work; and the low-temperature cycle is used for recovering heat of cooling water of a cylinder sleeve, the low-temperature cycle is communicated with the heat regenerator for heat regeneration and pushes a third expansion machine to work, and the low-temperature cycle and the medium-temperature cycle share one condenser. According to the combined type internal combustion engine waste heat gradient utilization system, three-stage recycling of price heat energy is achieved. Cascade recycling of exhaust energy is achieved through a Rankine cycle principle and a generalized Carnot cycle principle, and the energy utilization rate is increased.
