Abstract

The invention discloses a method for adjusting the frequency deviation of a mobile terminal and a device thereof. The method comprises the following steps: a terminal detects the intensity of downlink broadcast signals of a service cell and neighbor cells; the terminal judges whether the intensity difference of the downlink broadcast signals between the service cell and the strongest neighbor cell is larger than the threshold; if yes, the terminal calculates the downlink frequency deviation according to the broadcast channel of the service cell and adopts the frequency deviation as the frequency deviation estimated value of the mobile terminal; if not, the terminal calculates the downlink frequency deviation of the service cell according to the broadcast channel of the service cell and the downlink frequency deviation of the strongest neighbor cell according to the broadcast channel of the strongest neighbor cell, combines the two frequency deviations as the frequency deviation estimated value of the mobile terminal, and corrects the local carrier frequency of the terminal through the smooth frequency deviation estimated value of the terminal. By using the invention, the problem of abrupt change of the frequency deviation when the terminal transits from the service cell to a neighbor cell can be avoided, the performance of the terminal in a high mobility environment can be improved, and the invention is also suitable for a low mobility terminal.
