Abstract

The invention relates to a nano-crystalline NiAl-Al2O3-Y composite material and a preparation method thereof. The material consists of NiAl, 5-15vol.% Al2O3 and rare earth element Y. The added amount of Y is 0.05 to 0.5 percent of the mass percent of the NiAl-Al2O3. By adding the rare earth element Y into the NiAl-Al2O3, the mechanical property and the high-temperature antioxidation performance of the material can be well balanced. The room temperature compressive strength of the material is more than 1,800MPa (which is changed according to different Al2O3 contents), the room temperature compressive plasticity is over 13 percent (which is changed according to different Al2O3 contents), the high-temperature strength (1,200 DEG C) is more than 110MPa (which is changed according to different Al2O3 contents), and the fracture toughness is more than 8.2MPa.m1/2 (which is changed according to different Al2O3 contents). The material has high oxidation resistance, and the test results of cyclic oxidation at 700 to 1,200 DEG C and constant-temperature oxidation show that oxide skins have no cracks and flaking, and the oxidation weight gain is less than 1.5 mg/cm<2>.
