Abstract

The invention discloses a method for automatic extraction of an orthoimage embedding line based on projection digital elevation models. The method comprises the steps that firstly, the projection digital elevation model of a single orthoimage is obtained; secondly, an orthoimage pair to be embedded is determined; thirdly, the projection digital elevation models of the orthoimage pair to be embedded are overlapped according to geographic coordinates, an overlapping image is obtained, the overlapping image is binarized, and then the binary overlapping image is obtained; fourthly, the image morphological method is adopted for extracting skeleton lines of the binary overlapping image, a skeleton line network is obtained, the Dijkstra algorithm is adopted for searching the skeleton line network for the shortest path, namely the embedding line of the orthoimage pair to be embedded. By means of the method, the high-quality orthoimage embedding line can be obtained automatically, and the production efficiency of orthoimage products can be improved; meanwhile, information of digital terrain model data and digital surface model data is used for searching for the embedding line, and therefore the quality of the orthoimage products can be improved.
