Abstract

The invention discloses a method for adjusting a channel quality indicator (CQI) and equipment. According to the method, a CQI during primary transmission of user data is adjusted according to the magnitude relationship between current retransmission number of times and preset retransmission number of times of the user date, and the user date is retransmitted by the use of the adjusted CQI. Thus, HARQ gain and the preset retransmission number of times corresponding to different business types of users are combined, self-adapting adjustment of the retransmission CQI is realized, and system performance is improved.
