Abstract

The embodiment of the invention provides a terminal control method and apparatus. The method comprises the following steps: detecting the temperature of an object via an infrared sensor; when the temperature exceeds the preset threshold, determining that the object has vital signs; sending first control information to a digital television receiving terminal, so that the digital television receiving terminal controls the power supply of the digital television receiving terminal to locate in an open state according to the first control information. By adoption of the embodiment of the invention, the digital television receiving terminal can be opened intelligently, and the applicability of the digital television receiving terminal is improved.
