Abstract

The invention discloses a method for detecting a transverse residual stress of a metal sheet. The method comprises the following steps: cutting a metal sheet with the length of 600 mm and the wide of60 mm as a detection piece from one end of the metal sheet to be detected; taking a center point of the detection piece as a symmetric point, and attaching one piece of strain gauge to each position,which is 50 mm, 150 mm and 250 mm away from two sides of the center point in a direction perpendicular to the axis of the detection piece, the length direction of the strain gauge is the same as the length direction of the detection piece; measuring an initial value, clearing the instrument; cutting the detection piece in a longitudinal direction at a center part of the detection piece by adoptinga molybdenum wire cutting method; measuring a final value of the residual stress; and calculating an average value, which is the transverse residual stress value of the metal sheet. The method is simple, the strain gauge attaching positions and the cutting positions are reasonably selected, and the residual stress of the detection piece can be rapidly and accurately measured.
