AI Technical Summary

Benefits of technology

This technology helps identify important events or causes within an organization's telecommunications system by analyzing its logs from multiple devices connected through various networks like LANs. It also predictes when these systems will fail based on their current performance levels over time. By doing this, IT staff may be able to make better decisions about how best they fix issues before actually causing problems for customers.

Problems solved by technology

This patented technical problem addressed in this patents relates to improving the speed and accuracy of detecting potential threats in communicating networks due to their complexity and dynamic nature. Current systems only provide static reports about how well these attacks were happening or what caused them during an attack's course. However, they cannot accurately determine if any specific areas within the network had been affected because existing analytic tools did not include sufficient statistics to make sure each area was properly analyzed before performing operations.

Abstract

The invention discloses a communication network alarm analysis method and system based on fault source alarm intensity, is used for quantitatively measuring the alarm intensity of a fault source withan alarm, and relates to the field of communication network operation and maintenance. The method comprises the following steps: collecting and counting the total network alarm amount and the alarm amount of each fault source in an investigation period; calculating the alarm speed and ratio of each fault source in the investigation period; and calculating the alarm intensity of each fault source.According to the invention, the quantitative calculation and evaluation of the alarm intensity of the alarm in the distribution state of different fault sources in the communication network can be realized, and the operation and maintenance production work is guided.
