System and method for production system performance prediction

ActiveUS20060288260A1Testing/monitoring control systemsNuclear monitoringComputer sciencePerformance prediction
Disclosed herein are a system, method and apparatus for reporting, making alerts and predicting fault codes generated by machines in a line. Historical fault code data is received and filtered according to particular criteria to generate filtered fault code data. Classification of the filtered fault code data into physical groups and into logical groups is followed by sorting the groups to produce fault trend data. Processing the fault trend data with a plurality of analyzers generates output including reports, alerts, and predictions of future fault code occurrences.

Installation of application software through a network from a source computer system on to a target computer system

A technique for the remote installation of application software from a source computer system to one or more target computer systems (workstation) coupled to a Local Area Network (LAN). The present invention allows a LAN Administrator to install application software on a user's workstation automatically at any time without user's intervention. The state of (i.e. a snapshot of) the LAN Administrator's system before and after the installation of the application software is captured and an installation package is built. Installation on the user workstations is then scheduled. For installation, the installation package is transmitted to the user workstation where an install program carries out commands in the installation package for installing the application software.

Portable information processing device having data evacuation function and method thereof

A processor means is connected with other individual means, and controls those individual means. Storage means stores data to be processed by the processor means and the resultant data after the process. An important data in the storage means is transmitted to other devices for evacuation by using a wireless communication means, when a situating condition of a portable information-processing device is judged abnormal (e.g., when being stolen) based on an output of a status detector means. The data in the storage means is deleted, when the transmission is completed or the transmission is interrupted. Protection of the data and the confidentiality are thus achieved even if the portable information-processing device is stolen, since the data can be evacuated, and the data is erased after completion of the data evacuation or if the data evacuation becomes not attainable.

Estimation of surface lateral coefficient of friction

InactiveUS20100131146A1Vehicle testingSpeed measurement using accelerationVehicle dynamicsSteering angle
A system and method for estimating surface coefficient of friction in a vehicle system. The method includes providing a kinematics relationship between vehicle yaw-rate, vehicle speed, vehicle steering angle and vehicle front and rear axle side-slip angles that is accurate for all surface coefficient of frictions on which the vehicle may be traveling. The method defines a nonlinear function for the front and rear axle side-slip angles relating to front and rear lateral forces and coefficient of friction, and uses the nonlinear function in the kinematics relationship. The method also provides a linear relationship of the front and rear axle side-slip angles and the front and rear lateral forces using the kinematics relationship. The method determines that the vehicle dynamics have become nonlinear using the linear relationship and then estimates the surface coefficient of friction when the vehicle dynamics are nonlinear.

Method for reducing power consumption of device, mobile terminal and system

ActiveCN105159816AReduce power consumptionImprove battery lifeHardware monitoringCurrent supply arrangementsTerminal equipmentComputer terminal
The invention discloses a method for reducing power consumption of a device, a mobile terminal and a system. The method comprises the following steps of: when the mobile terminal enters a standby mode, capturing a behavior of an application program in a background of the mobile terminal and collecting power consumption data of the behavior of the application program; sending the power consumption data of the behavior of the application program to an application program power consumption analysis database stored in a cloud server for analysis and comparison; receiving and storing an application list limited to be started and fed back and pushed by the application program power consumption analysis database; and forbidding the corresponding application program, in the application list limited to be started, to be started in the background of the mobile terminal when the mobile terminal enters the standby mode. According to the method for reducing the power consumption of the device, the background applications in the system are effectively managed and the applications unnecessary to run in the background are limited, so that the purposes of reducing the power consumption of the device of the mobile terminal and prolonging the service time of the device are achieved.

Method for obtaining monitoring information of complete cabinet server nodes

ActiveCN105868077ASimplify communicationQuickly adjust the speedHardware monitoringBaseboardTime changes
The invention discloses a method for obtaining monitoring information of complete cabinet server nodes. The concrete implementation process is that a hardware part is arranged; baseboard management controller (BMC) chips are arranged in each server node in a complete cabinet server composed of a plurality of server nodes, and a rack management controller (RMC) and a node middle plate are installed in the complete cabinet server; an OEM command module is added to a BMC; a concrete data format of BMC OEM CMD modules of the nodes is defined; that is, a CMD module format is adopted for an OEM command, and a plurality of CMD modules are supported to perform obtaining and sending simultaneously; the node middle plate sends OEM CMD module data to the BMC to obtain node information; and the RMC obtains node information between node middle plate, and performs monitors and heat dissipation control in real time. Compared with the prior art, the method for obtaining the monitoring information of the complete cabinet server nodes simplifies the communication process between the node BMC and the node middle plate, the node middle plate can obtain plenty of data in one time from the node BMC, particularly real-time change information, and the method has great benefit for improving system response time and is high in practicality.

Alert transmission apparatus and method for policy-based intrusion detection and response

InactiveUS7386733B2Memory loss protectionData taking preventionManagement toolClient-side
An alert transmission apparatus for a policy-based intrusion detection and response has a central policy server (CPS) and an intrusion detection and response system (IDRS). In the CPS, a policy management tool generates security policy information and then stores the generated security policy information in a policy repository. A COPS-IDR server sends the information to the IDRS and an IDMEF-XML-type alert transmission message to a high-level module. An IDMEF-XML message parsing and translation module stores a parsed and translated IDMEF-XML-type alert transmission message in an alert DB or provides the message to an alert viewer. In the IDRS, a COPS-IDR client generates the IDMEF-XML-type alert transmission message and provides the message to the CPS. An intrusion detection module detects an intrusion. An intrusion response module responds to the intrusion. An IDMEF-XML message building module generates an IDMEF-XML alert message and provides the message to the COPS-IDR client.

Server relevant failure prediction method and system

ActiveCN106294076AReduce the impactImprove performanceHardware monitoringPrediction systemFailure type
The invention discloses a server relevant failure prediction method. The method comprises steps as follows: a failure type is determined after a failure happens to a server; a failure relevant to the failure is acquired from a relevant failure set obtained in advance according to an Apriori algorithm and taken as a follow-up prediction failure; a worker performs corresponding compensation operation according to the follow-up prediction failure. After the failure happens to the server, possible follow-up failure types are predicted according to the relevance of the failure types in the relevant failure set, so that the worker can perform certain compensation operation in advance, the follow-up failure is avoided in time, influence on the server is reduced as far as possible after the follow-up failure happens, and the RAS (remote access service) performance of the server is improved. The invention further discloses a server relevant failure prediction system. The system also has the advantages, and unnecessary details are not described here anymore.
