Methods for upgrading, diagnosing, and maintaining replaceable non-volatile memory

In one embodiment of the invention, a replaceable memory apparatus is disclosed. The replaceable memory apparatus includes a first rectangular multilayer printed circuit board having a first side and a second side opposite the first side; a first male pluggable electrical connector mounted to the first side near a first edge; a first female pluggable electrical connector mounted to the second side; and first non-volatile memory mounted to the first side and the second side. The first female pluggable electrical connector is coupled to the first male pluggable electrical connector to feed through first signals. The first non-volatile memory is coupled to the first female pluggable electrical connector and the first male pluggable electrical connector to receive the first signals.

Method And Apparatus For Controlling Powder Saving Mode In Wireless Portable Internet System

Disclosed is a method and device for controlling a power saving mode for applying the sleep mode for saving power consumption to the mobility of subscriber stations in a mobile communication network and a wireless Internet system. Subscriber stations entering the sleep mode are constantly grouped, listening intervals of the subscriber stations for each group are not superimposed, the existence state of traffic in the subscriber stations is independently notified for each group, and the overhead of signaling messages is minimized when the traffic is notified to the subscriber station in the sleep mode.

Method and device for determining scheduling priority of terminal

ActiveCN102164417AReasonable and efficient schedulingReduce the possibilityEnergy efficient ICTConnection managementSleep stateTime delays
The invention provides a method and a device for determining a scheduling priority of a terminal. In the service scheduling process, the residual activation time of the terminal is taken into consideration, the probability of scheduling the terminal with shorter residual activation time is increased, and the probability of entering a sleep state when the terminal is not scheduled is reduced. By the invention, the terminal with shorter residual activation time is preferentially scheduled to a certain extent, and the probability of entering the sleep state of the terminal is reduced, so that a packet loss rate of time-delay sensitive service caused by exceeding the maximum time-delay constraint is reduced, and the power consumption efficiency of a system is improved.

Recruiting additional resource for hpc simulation

InactiveUS20120120077A1Energy efficient ICTDrawing from basic elementsGeneral purposeGraphics
Graphics processing units (GPUs) deployed in general purpose GPU (GPGPU) units are combined into a GPGPU cluster. Access to the remote GPGPU cluster is then offered as a service to users who can use their own computers to communicate with the GPGPU cluster. The users' computers can be standalone desktop systems, laptops, or even another GPGPU cluster. The user can run a parallelized application locally and patiently wait for results or can dynamically recruit the remote GPGPU cluster to obtain those results more quickly. Dynamic recruitment means that the users can add remote GPGPU resources to a running application.

Multi mode mobile terminal using different scanning rates

InactiveCN101243708APower managementEnergy efficient ICTHandsetHandover
A mobile handset capable of operation on more than one wireless system has means for periodically testing for the availability of at least one system whilst operatively connected to another system, wherein the periodicity of the testing process is made at one rate when a call is in progress and at a second rate when no call is in progress (on standby). This significantly reduces power consumption when on standby, without impairing handover reliability if a call is in progress.

Apparatus and method for power control of mobile base station of variable backbone capacity

An apparatus and method for power control of a mobile BS of variable backbone capacity. The method includes determining a link state and capacity of a backbone of the BS, and determining a link state and service capacity between the BS and a mobile communication terminal. The method also includes, if the capacity of the backbone is less than the service capacity, setting the backbone capacity similar to the service capacity by lowering a transmit power of the BS by a predefined value.
