Abstract

The invention discloses a system and method for preparation of an ultrahigh vacuum electromagnetic suspension material. The system comprises a cavity, a vacuum acquisition unit and a control system, wherein devices associated with the cavity include a sample suspension mechanism, a sample transmission mechanism, an image collection unit, a sample temperature monitoring mechanism, a sample position detection mechanism, a pressure casting unit and safety and accessory facilities. The system and method disclosed by the invention have the beneficial effects that metal and alloy with large volumes are prepared under a high-vacuum and container-free condition based on principles of electromagnetic induction, so more extensive and accurate data of basic thermal physical natures is obtained, and reliable original data can be provided for high-precision simulation computation; by the control system, temperatures and suspension states of the liquid metal at a suspended state can be controlled flexibly and effectively; and in combination with an image collection system, the temperature monitoring mechanism and a pressure casting system, extensive experimental research on high-temperature liquid metal solidification and high overcooling can be carried out, and the liquid metal can be directly shaped under a highly overcooled and has excellent mechanical properties.
