Benefits of technology

The technical effect of this patented design includes providing a flexible part with a concave-curvature shape for easy rolling over by people who are approaching them from behind while still being able to detect if they can approach it safely without getting stuck between other objects like doors. Additionally, adding sensors onto one side of the rotating portion helps improve its security measures against intruders.

Problems solved by technology

There exist various technical solutions related to improving security against accidentally opening up a swinging gate without causing injury during use. One solution involves adding safety mechanisms like springs or pins into the design of the mechanism itself. However these added components increase complexity and cost compared to traditional designs while still providing limited protection against accidents involving small objects.

Embodiment Construction

[0029] Only the relevant parts are shown in the schematic diagram, all other structural elements have been omitted for better clarity.

[0030] FIG. 1 schematically shows a plan view of a revolving door 1 according to the invention. The revolving door 1 has an outer, fixed cylinder wall 3 with two doorways 2 (only one of which is shown). A swivel device 4 with three swivel door wings 5 is arranged inside the cylinder wall 3 . The shown revolving door 1 is a revolving door 1 with three door wings 5 . The invention can also be used in two-wing or four-wing revolving doors 1 .

[0031] The illustrated revolving door 1 has a direction of rotation R which is counterclockwise. The invention can also be applied to a revolving door 1 that rotates in the clockwise direction.

[0032] Each individual door wing 5 is provided on its side facing the cylinder wall 3 with a section 6 which can only be pivoted by preferably 90° about a vertical axis 7 against the direction of rotation R

Abstract

The invention relates to a carousel door comprising an outer, fixed drum wall provided with two openings, and a rotating device which is arranged inside the surrounding drum wall and comprises at least two rotating door leaves. The aim of the invention is to create an improved carousel door which is provided with a more effective anti-blocking system causing less material stress. To this end, each door leaf (5) comprises a section (6) that can be pivoted about a vertical axis (7).
