Method and system for controlled communication between applications

[0021]Briefly described, a solution is provided to enable a controlled communication between a generic application and a service application, where the applications are operating in different environments, but in the same software framework. The herein suggested technology provides a solution to control the communication between the two applications, by providing permission to the only necessary communication between the two applications. Examples of generic applications are multimedia / home entertainment applications, home automation applications, surveillance applications, and similar applications.
