2 results about "Cadmium oxide" patented technology

Cadmium oxide is an inorganic compound with the formula CdO. It is one of the main precursors to other cadmium compounds. It crystallizes in a cubic rocksalt lattice like sodium chloride, with octahedral cation and anion centers. It occurs naturally as the rare mineral monteponite. Cadmium oxide can be found as a colorless amorphous powder or as brown or red crystals. Cadmium oxide is an n-type semiconductor with a band gap of 2.18 eV (2.31 eV) at room temperature (298 K).

The draw-rod cadmium electrode for direct seal of cell is formed from carrier and active material coated on the carrier, and the composition of said active material includes (wt%) 60%-75% of cadmium oxide, 4%-10% of nickel powder, 5%-15% of spongy cadmium, 3%-10% of zinc powder, 1%-3% of polyvinyl alcohol, 4%-10% of metal cadmium powder, 1%-5% of transformer oil, 0.5%-2% of disodium hydrogen phosphate and 0.1%-0.6% of carboxymethylcellulose sodium. Said invention can make cell production process simple, can raise its yield and can greatly reduce its production cost.
