Abstract

The invention discloses a cold resistant anti-impact modified polypropylene (PP) and a preparation method thereof. The cold resistant anti-impact modified polypropylene comprises the following raw materials by weight: 70-80 parts of PP, 10-15 parts of POE, 5-10 parts of SBS, 20-30 parts of a mineral additive, 10-15 parts of a silane coupling agent, 1-3 parts of an antioxidant, and 5-8 parts of a dispersant. Compared with pure PP, the modified PP has tensile strength improved by 15-25%, impact strength increased by 35-45%, and molding shrinkage decreased by more than 80%. The invention uses POE, SBS, mineral raw materials and other modifiers to conduct blending modification on PP, effectively improves the low temperature resistance of PP, and endows a modified polypropylene composite material with excellent impact resistance, rigidity, aging resistance and cold resistance. Modified polypropylene can meet the impact strength requirement of automobile bumpers, can be widely applied to processing of automobile bumpers, instrument panels, body-building racks and other parts with low temperature resistance, and has excellent comprehensive performance.
