Abstract

The invention provides a link width adjusting method and device, equipment and a storage medium. The method comprises the steps of acquiring bandwidth information of a bus and bandwidth requirements of all currently-interconnected assemblies on the bus; judging whether the bandwidth requirement of each component is the same as that of the bandwidth information or not; if the bandwidth requirementof each component is not the same as that of the bandwidth information, generating a bandwidth adjustment request; emptying queue data in the direction of a data sending port in the physical coding sub-layer and the physical medium layer; indicating the physical coding sub-layer to carry out link initialization, and blocking link initialization of the physical dielectric layer; and indicating thephysical coding sub-layer to switch a data channel according to the adjustment request to complete link width adjustment. According to the invention, link width adjustment can be rapidly carried out,other components of the SOC are not involved, other data paths of the SOC are not influenced, and power consumption is saved.
