Abstract

The invention discloses a low-halogen flame-retardant PP (polypropylene) material as well as a preparation method and application thereof, and belongs to the technical field of polymer modified materials. The low-halogen flame-retardant PP material is prepared from the following components in parts by weight: 80 to 98 parts of PP resin, 0.5 to 3 parts of phosphorus-nitrogen flame retardant and 0.025 to 0.1 part of halogen flame retardant, and the bromine content of the halogen flame retardant is 200 to 900 ppm. According to the low-halogen flame-retardant PP material, the use amount of the halogen-containing flame retardant is low, the low-halogen requirement is met, the problem of environmental pollution of the halogen-containing flame retardant is solved, the halogen-containing flame retardant with the bromine content of 200-900 ppm and the phosphorus-nitrogen flame retardant are compounded, the low-halogen flame-retardant PP material can have the good impact property retention rate and the good flame retardant property, and the impact property retention rate is 85% or above.
