Abstract

The invention provides an O/W (oil in water) type lemon essential oil containing submicron emulsion. The emulsion comprises the following components in percentage by weight: 5-30 percent of lemon essential oil, 1-20 percent of liquid fat, 3-20 percent of liquid emulsifying agent, 1-15 percent of organic additive, 0.01-2.0 percent of inorganic additive, and the balance of water. The invention also provides a preparation method of the submicron emulsion, and the preparation method comprises the following steps: mixing the lemon essential oil, the liquid fat and the emulsifying agent to obtain a uniform oil phase component; mixing the organic additive, the inorganic additive and the water to obtain an aqueous phase component; adding the oil phase component into the aqueous phase component by utilizing a cooling preparation method, stirring to form a coarse emulsion, and performing high-pressure homogenization on the coarse emulsion to obtain the submicron emulsion. According to the submicron emulsion, the coarse emulsion is prepared by utilizing a cooling preparation method and subjected to high-pressure homogenization to obtain the submicron emulsion, and the submicron emulsion which has uniform and smaller dispersed phase particle diameter and contains lemon essential oil is formed in the phase inversion process, so that irritation of the lemon essential oil by directly acting on the skin can be reduced.
