Abstract

The invention discloses an energy-saving device and method for producing activated carbon from traditional Chinese medicine slag rhizome. The device comprises a water scrubber, a dryer, a pulverizer, a raw material preheater, a heat exchanger, a raw material mixing tank, a vacuum filter, a carbonization furnace, an activation furnace, a cooler and a waste heat boiler. A phosphoric acid activation process and flue gas residual heat are utilized to heat the materials and supply heat to the outside, and the surplus steam energy can enter the raw material preheater to be fully utilized, thereby solving the problems of high unit yield energy consumption, high exhaust emission, environment pollution and the like. The heat utilization efficiency is greatly enhanced: the flue gas of the carbonization furnace and activation furnace is recycled, high-temperature steam generated by the dryer is fully utilized, and thus, the heat utilization efficiency is very high.
