Abstract

The invention belongs to the technical field of PVC auxiliary agent, and especially relates to a soft PVC fire retardant, and a preparation method thereof. The soft PVC fire retardant comprises, by mass, 25 to 30 parts of ammonium polyphosphate, 15 to 25 parts of melamine and a derivative of melamine, 10 to 15 parts of pentaerythritol octahydrogen tetraphosphate, 25 to 35 parts of a large molecular triazine derivative, 0.5 to 2 parts of a lubricant, 0.5 to 2 parts of a coupling agent, 0.5 to 3 parts of a flame retardation synergistic agent, 1 to 2.5 parts of modified nanometer montmorillonite,and 0.5 to 1 part of an anti-oxidant. The preparation method comprises following steps: the raw materials are introduced into a 5000 rpm high speed mixing machine for 20 to 40min of full mixing at 80to 90 DEG C so as to obtain the soft PVC fire retardant. The soft PVC fire retardant is used in preparation of flame retardant soft polyethylene or materials taking soft polyvinyl chloride as base materials, and is capable of ensuring effective flame retardant effect; the using amount is lower than that of organic fire retardants; influences on the processing performance of polyvinyl chloride materials are low; and soft polyethylene processing requirements are satisfied.
