Abstract

The invention relates to an electrode for inhibiting shuttle flying of polysulfide ions in a lithium-sulfur battery and preparation and application thereof. According to the electrode, a composite metal-oxide composite coating capable of physically screening and chemically adsorbing polysulfide is deposited on a sulfur-carbon positive electrode material by applying a contact type chemical platingprocess, the current collecting effect of the electrode and the electron transmission efficiency in the electrode can be improved, the higher active substance utilization rate is achieved, the electrode polarization is reduced, the electrochemical capacity is improved, the shuttle flying effect of polysulfide can be well restrained, and the cycle life is prolonged. The sulfur-carbon electrode anda metal lithium negative electrode are assembled into a lithium-sulfur battery, so that the performance and the energy density of the battery can be greatly improved, and the sulfur-carbon electrode has huge potential of realizing industrial large-scale production in the future.
