4 results about "Intercooler" patented technology

An intercooler is a mechanical device used to cool a gas after compression process. Compression process increases the internal energy of the gas which in turn raises its temperature and reduces the density. In other words intercooler is a device used in compression process, typically a heat exchanger that removes waste heat in a gas compressor. They are used in many applications, including air compressors, air conditioners, refrigeration, and gas turbines, and automotive engines. Here they are widely known as an air-to-air or air-to-liquid cooler for forced induction (turbocharged or supercharged) internal combustion engines to improve their volumetric efficiency, which they do by increasing intake air density through nearly constant pressure cooling. First introduced in 1977 on the Porsche 911, although these were the first cars to use intercoolers they were not the first cars to use turbochargers; in fact they weren’t even the first 911’s to use turbochargers.

The invention discloses a fuel cell automobile air supply system based on an organic Rankine cycle. The system comprises a boosting circuit and a waste heat utilization circuit, wherein the boosting circuit comprises a fuel cell stack, a turbine, a first compressor, a second compressor, a first intercooler, an air compressor, a heat exchanger and a second intercooler, which are sequentially connected; the waste heat utilization circuit comprises an organic working fluid pump, a heat exchanger and an expander connected in sequence; the first compressor is connected to the outside air, the expander is connected to the second compressor for driving the second compressor to operate; when the waste heat utilization circuit is opened, the waste heat of the air compressor flows into the heat exchanger to heat the organic working medium and drive the expander to compress the second compressor; when the waste heat utilization circuit is closed, the second compressor does not operate, and the boosting circuit is a low-pressure boosting circuit. The invention also provides a control method for a fuel cell automobile air supply system based on an organic Rankine cycle.

The invention relates to a heat pump based all-weather sea water desalination system. The heat pump based all-weather sea water desalination system comprises a compressor, an evaporative condenser, a finned evaporator, a shall-and-coil evaporator, an electronic expansion valve, a flash intercooler, a turbocharger and a negative-pressure fan. If the temperature is relatively high in summer, and the temperature of the sea water is lower than the local temperature, the finned evaporator is used as an air source heat pump to heat to prepare the fresh water; if the temperature is relatively low in winter, and the temperature of the sea water is higher than the local temperature, the shell-and-coil evaporator is used as the sea water source heat pump to heat and manufacture the fresh water, and the boiling point of the sea water is reduced by utilizing the negative-pressure fan; the turbocharger is used for realizing one-stage compression of a refrigerant, and the compressor is used for realizing the two-stage compression of the refrigerator, so that the air suction volume of the compressor is increased; the flash condenser is utilized to raise the degree of the supercooling of the refrigerator in the major cycle, thus the benefit is provided for increasing the quality and the flow rate of the refrigerator in the major cycle, and as a result, the heating capacity is improved. By adopting the sea water desalination system, fresh water can be supplied for 24 hours a day at all seasons.
