AI Technical Summary

Benefits of technology

This invention relates to an improved method used during construction or maintenance operations on roads that can improve their durability without causing damage from rainwater ingresses such as debris (ice) buildup caused by heavy traffic over time. By adding certain chemical agents like naphtha oil into this mixture, it becomes more effective when applied evenly across layers made up mostly of thin material called UT). It also improves its ability to quickly break down these materials due to high temperatures involved while still maintaining good bond between them.

Problems solved by technology

This patented technical solution involves combining two different types of material together: an improved type called UT or Thermoset Weld Panel Sheeter made from high strength rubber mixed with liquid bitumen. These layers are designed to prevent damage caused by small cracks like those found during normal traffic conditions without causing any issues over time.

Abstract

The invention relates to the technical field of modified emulsified asphalt for road engineering, and particularly relates to modified emulsified asphalt for a superthin wearing course. The emulsified asphalt is prepared from the following components in percentage by weight: 45.0-68.0 percent of asphalt, 3.0-4.0 percent of an emulsifying agent, 0.25-0.45 percent of a cationic quick breaking emulsifying agent, 0.5-2.0 percent of a stabilizing agent, 1-5 percent of auxiliary and the balance of water. By adopting the scheme, the modified emulsified asphalt for a superthin wearing course is prepared, has a solid content of more than 67 percent, is quick in emulsion breaking speed, is capable of generating a relatively thick asphalt film after emulsion breaking, and has excellent adhesive performance and waterproofing performance, wherein the dynamic viscosity at 60 DEG C of evaporated residues of the emulsified asphalt is more than or equal to 1800Pa.s.
