Abstract

The invention provides a lithium ion battery and an electrolyte thereof. The electrolyte comprises a lithium salt and a non-aqueous organic solvent, and also comprises an overcharge protect additive and an auxiliary film-forming additive. The lithium ion battery comprises the electrolyte. The lithium ion battery is capable of avoiding problems such as lithium ion battery direct current resistance increasing and electrochemical performance deterioration caused by adding of the overcharge protect additive effectively, and possesses excellent overcharge resistance.
