A submarine pipeline (also known as marine, subsea or offshore pipeline) is a pipeline that is laid on the seabed or below it inside a trench. In some cases, the pipeline is mostly on-land but in places it crosses water expanses, such as small seas, straits and rivers. Submarine pipelines are used primarily to carry oil or gas, but transportation of water is also important. A distinction is sometimes made between a flowline and a pipeline. The former is an intrafield pipeline, in the sense that it is used to connect subsea wellheads, manifolds and the platform within a particular development field. The latter, sometimes referred to as an export pipeline, is used to bring the resource to shore. Sizeable pipeline construction projects need to take into account a large number of factors, such as the offshore ecology, geohazards and environmental loading – they are often undertaken by multidisciplinary, international teams.

The invention discloses a cold hardening effect-based pipe punching and twisting-off device and method. The device comprises a pipe fixing device, a pipe combustion cooler and a pipe cutting punchingand twisting device. The pipe combustion cooler comprises a combustion cabin pushing cylinder, a combustion cabin, a fuse and a cooling head; and the pipe cutting punching and twisting device comprises a punching and twisting clamping jaw pushing cylinder, a rotary sliding rail and a punching and twisting clamping jaw, wherein the rotary sliding rail is in linkage fit with an external rotary driving mechanism. The method comprises the following steps that a pipeline is fixed by the pipe fixing device; the pipe combustion cooler and the pipe cutting punching and twisting device are fixed to thefree end of the pipeline, the combustion cabin is filled with fuel, the fuel is ignited through a fuse, rapid combustion is achieved, the pipeline is heated, and the cooling head rapidly sprays liquid nitrogen to the heating face to achieve rapid cooling; and the pipe cutting punching and twisting device rapidly rotates and punches and twists to break the pipeline. According to the device and themethod, submarine pipeline cutting is achieved through the steel cold hardening embrittlement effect and the large-torque impact torsion principle, the cutting automation degree and the pipeline cutting efficiency can be improved, and therefore the submarine pipeline dismounting cost is reduced.
