Benefits of technology

This new method uses Chikungunya viruses (CHIKV) called Yellow River Causing Disease or Japanese Enzootic Ovitis Vims). These CHIKVs are transmitted from humans through contact between people who have been infected during their lifetime. They cause symptoms such as fever, rashiness, swelling around joint pain, muscle aches/pains, nausea, vomiting, diarrheal problems, abdominal discomfort, difficulty breathing, headaches, stomach cramps, etc., which may lead them into deteriorating health conditions like chronic fatigue syndrome.

Problems solved by technology

This patented technical problem addressed in this patents relates to an illness called Chick Egg Production Surge which occurs frequently during winter months when birds get too much food for their eggs instead they produce enough energy through metabolism. It can cause damage if people eat them while still alive but without receiving any treatment until later due to lack of effective measures against such diseases.

Embodiment 1

[0012] Chicken yellow virus FQ-C1 strain of the present invention is obtained in the following manner:

[0013] In December 2010, a 210-day-old laying hen flock in a laying hen farm in Fuqing City experienced an acute and severe drop in egg production, but no chickens died, and the use of antibacterial and antiviral drugs had no obvious effect. We isolated a strain of virus from the tissues of dead diseased laying hens, and ruled out avian influenza virus, chicken egg drop syndrome virus, chicken Newcastle disease virus, chicken infectious bronchitis virus, chicken infectious laryngotracheitis through laboratory testing Viruses, chicken arthritis virus, chicken infectious bursal virus, through flavivirus-specific RT-PCR identification and sequencing analysis, it was shown that the FQ-C1 strain virus belongs to the Flavivirus genus of the family Flaviviridae.

Embodiment 2

[0021] Chicken yellow virus inactivated vaccine of the present invention is obtained in the following manner:

[0022] Chicken yellow virus FQ-C1 strain is inoculated into SPF chicken embryo, collects dead SPF chicken embryo allantoic fluid after inoculation, wherein the content of chicken yellow virus FQ-C1 strain is 10 3.33 ELD 50 / 0.2ml, SPF chicken embryo allantoic fluid is inactivated by formaldehyde and added white oil adjuvant to emulsify, and is prepared into a conventional oil emulsion inactivated vaccine.

[0023] The immune result of the prepared inactivated vaccine is as follows:

[0024] 1. Vaccine safety test

[0025] 1.1 Safety test of SPF chicks

[0026] 60 1-day-old SPF chicks were purchased, and they were randomly divided into 4 groups when they were 7 days old, with 15 chickens in each group. The SPF chickens in the 3 experimental groups were injected intramuscularly with different batches (3 batches) of chicken yellow virus through the legs. The inactiv

Abstract

The invention relates to a chicken Flavivirus and an inactivated vaccine thereof and belongs to the field of veterinary epidemiology. The chicken Flavivirus is chicken Flavivirus strain FQ-C1 which is preserved in the China General Microbiological Culture Collection Center with preservation serial number: CGMCC No.4905. After the chicken Flavivirus strain FQ-C1 is inoculated to SPF (specified pathogen free) chick embryos, the allantoic fluids of the SPF chick embryos which die of transfection are collected, the allantoic fluids of the SPF chick embryos are inactivated with formaldehyde and then mixed with white oil which is used as an adjuvant, and the resulting mixture is emulsified to prepare an inactivated vaccine in the form of oil emulsion. The chicken Flavivirus inactivated vaccine provided by the invention does not cause any adverse effect on chickens and has high experimental safety. The vaccine can effectively control Flavivirus disease in chickens and helps reduce the losses and increase the breeding benefits of majority of chicken farmers in China.
